Sampling procedures according to product properties

The following list is an overview of sampling procedures in form of so called sampling cards according to product properties. A chart of sampling procedures for goods in the food and chemical sector can be found here in categories: food; chemicals; and articles.

Retail packages are defined as packages where the weight of the smallest individual pack within the consignment does not usually exceed 5 l or 5 kg, i.e. various cans, bottles, jars and bags.

This card also provides information on sampling of finished articles whether or not packed in retail sale packages which are not covered in their specific cards.

The articles are defined as finished products, which can be used directly by end users.

Note: The card provides a general overview of the sampling procedures, but additional requirements may apply to specific products and these are not covered here.

Foodstuffs and foodstuff products

The commodities mentioned above may also be considered high-viscosity depending on their precise nature and/or the temperature.

The commodities mentioned above may also be considered low-viscosity depending on their precise nature and/or the temperature.

Chemicals and chemical products

SAM-203Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG)Liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) are petroleum chemicals in gaseous form that can be stored and/or handled in the liquid phase under moderate conditions of pressure and at ambient temperature. These gases consist predominantly of propane, propene, butanes and butenes, with small proportions of ethane, ethene and/or pentanes and pentenes and their mixtures.
